This page explains how to delete your Daily Arabic account and what happens to your data after deletion.

How to Delete Your Account

Step 1
Open the Daily Arabic app on your device.

Step 2
Go to Settings (gear icon in the bottom navigation bar).

Step 3
Scroll down and tap "Delete Account" in the Account section.

Step 4
Read the warning. If you're sure, tap "Delete".

Your account will be permanently deleted immediately. You will be signed out and returned to the splash screen.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

Your profile and account information (name, email, learning level, goals, interests, habits)
Learning progress (XP, level, streaks, daily activity history)
Words you have learned or reviewed
Saved favorites and collections
Achievements and badges
Widget configuration preferences
App settings (theme, card preferences, ink style, notification settings, language preference)

What Data Is Retained

The following data may be retained after account deletion:

Payment transaction records — Required for tax and accounting purposes. Retained for 5 years as required by law. These records are maintained by Apple (App Store) and do not contain payment card details.
Anonymized aggregate usage data — Statistical data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for product improvement.

Note: Your subscription is managed through Apple App Store. Deleting your Daily Arabic account does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription. You must cancel separately through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions or you may continue to be charged.

Deletion Timeline

Immediate: Your account is deactivated and inaccessible immediately upon deletion.
Within 90 days: All personal data is permanently erased from our systems and backups.
5 years: Payment transaction records retained for tax compliance.
